Mintz Global Screening is seeking inquisitive, motivated International Screening Researcherfor its Global Verify team based in Scarborough. The team specializes in vetting potential candidates for senior executive jobs globally. We are considering high-caliber, entry-level candidates preferably with foreign language fluencies. We are looking to add Screening Agents to our verification team with a focus on verifying diplomas, professional accreditations and other services offered by the company.

Language: Must speak English. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.

Job Duties: NOC 1411 - General office support workers[internal designation: International Screening Agent.]

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are looking for a full-time, permanent International Screening Agent to provide customer service in accordance with company standards and in adherence to the specifications of the service contracts, the International Screening Researcher shall:

 

  1. Conduct background checks on executives around the world:
  2. Verify educational and professional qualifications through the use of online databases, outgoing and incoming calls, and email correspondence
  3. Learn and master the use of databases and vendors that serve as international liaisons for verifying degrees and professional qualifications around the world
  4. Gather and review news articles in a concise and accurate manner
  5. Learn and master the use of databases that cover public records
  6. Conduct regular monitoring according to customer needs and answer their questions on time
  7. Provide results to the clients according to established procedure and provide other avenues of research, if necessary
  8. Synthesize information obtained in the form of written reports in a professional and understandable manner, drafting and editing comprehensive client-ready reports
  9. Meet client services deadlines
  10. Ensure compliance with the company standards of privacy and security
  11. Work with team members to ensure excellent customer service
  12. Maintain good relationships with colleagues and supervisors
  13. Maintain a clean and operational working environment
  14. Strong organizational skills, autonomy, detail-oriented
  15. Capacity to communicate clearly the research results
  16. Aptitude to work both in team and individually

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge and Education
  1. Strong research, writing (mastery of grammar and punctuation), computer skills, attention to detail, and high levels of reading comprehension are required
  2. Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognizedin Canada
  3. Fluency in English required; foreign languages (an asset)
      1. Danish, Swedish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Spanish are also highly desirable
      2. Languages of particular interest include Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Russian
  1. Research, investigative or journalism experience is a plus

Starting Wage

 

  1. $17.00 -$18.00 hourly
  2. Group benefits, paid 50% by the company (Life insurance, Accident and Serious Illness, Dependent life insurance, Short and long term disability, Critical Illness, Health and Dental care, Travel insurance, Employee & Family Assistance program …)
  3. After one year, the Employee will be eligible for the group RRSP. The participation is voluntary.
